Pack of 2 3D-printed protection caps for UNF 1/2 (1/2×20 TPI) barrel threads, designed to protect the thread between two shooting sessions. Made in France for firearms threaded to the UNF 1/2 standard.
The thread at the muzzle end of the barrel is a fragile and exposed area. Without protection, the thread can be damaged at the slightest impact, accumulate dust and residue, and wear out prematurely. Once the thread is damaged, mounting a moderator or another accessory becomes difficult, if not impossible.
These caps screw directly onto the exposed thread when you are not mounting any accessory. They keep the thread clean and intact, which preserves the accuracy of your accessory mounting over time. With two caps included in the pack, you have a spare protection or enough to equip two firearms.
These caps are compatible with all firearms threaded in UNF 1/2 (1/2×20 TPI), a very widespread standard on airguns and many .22 LR rifles in Europe.
Caution: for firearms of American origin, the thread is generally different. If your barrel is threaded in UNEF 1/2 (1/2×28 TPI), refer to our version dedicated to that standard. Always check the exact thread pitch of your barrel before ordering, as UNF (20 TPI) and UNEF (28 TPI) threads are not interchangeable despite an identical diameter.
Installation is immediate: simply screw the cap by hand onto the barrel thread, clockwise, until it stops. No tool is necessary. To remove it and mount an accessory, simply unscrew the cap in the opposite direction.
These protections are designed and manufactured in France using 3D printing, from quality plastic.
