On a category D air gun whose barrel is threaded in UNEF 1/2-28, the thread remains exposed as soon as the moderator or adapter is removed. The ring fills in this exposed thread: it protects the threads against impacts, fouling and dust that can hinder a future fitting. Compatible with any barrel featuring a UNEF 1/2-28 thread, the most widespread standard on category D air rifles and replicas. Check your thread pitch before ordering: this ring is only designed for the 1/2-28, it will not fit another pitch (M15x1, M16x1, etc.).
Fitting is done by hand: simply screw the ring onto the barrel thread, without tools and without forcing. Removal is just as simple when you want to refit a moderator or an adapter. The 3D printing manufacturing ensures a fit suited to the UNEF 1/2-28 pitch.
