🔧 Tutorial: Disassembly of the Original Sound Moderator on the Snowpeak T-Rex

1. Removing the Metal Inserts

At the front of the sound moderator, you will see two small metal inserts.

Use a thin, rigid rod (such as a small screwdriver or steel pin) and gently push inside each insert — the rod will slide out on its own. Remove both rods, then take off the front cap.

2. Inside the Moderator

Once disassembled, here is an overview of the inside of the original sound moderator.

As you can see, its design is very minimalistic.

3. Removing the Silencer Shell

Only the outer shell of the silencer remains, still attached to the barrel.

To remove it, you need to access a screw located deep inside the shell.

Use a large flathead screwdriver or a long, flat tool to unscrew it.
I’ve included a photo showing the screw once removed, so you can get an idea of what it looks like.

Insert the tubular adapter by sliding it along the barrel until it reaches the threading, then finish by screwing it in. Before this step, you can apply a bit of oil to help it slide and to protect the barrel. Finally, all that’s left is to install the moderator.

⚠️ Important Disclaimer

Disassembling your rifle and its integrated sound moderator is done entirely at your own risk.
If any part is damaged or mishandled, you are solely responsible for the consequences.

This kind of operation may void the manufacturer’s warranty, unless everything is reassembled exactly as it was, without any damage.

This tutorial is provided for informational purposes only, following several requests from users wanting to understand the procedure.
It was created specifically for the installation of our adapter and silencer, which is much more effective than the original one.

I take no responsibility for any damage, warranty loss, or malfunction resulting from this disassembly.
